Who We are
Bharath Groups of Companies is based in Mangalore, India, and was founded by Mr. B. Manjunath. Pai in the year 1930 at Karkala, Dakshina kannada. The company was headed by the founder till 1982 and later by Mr. B. Ganapathi pai as the chairman and managing director of the company. He was heading the company till 2012. Now the company is run by group of six whole time directors namely, Mr.B.Nagendra Pai, Mr. Subraya M. Pai, Mr. Anand G. Pai, Mr. Sudhir M. Pai, and Mr. Venkatesh M. Pai.
This team of executives is ever vigilant in the selection of tendu leaves and tobacco, processing of tobacco, the rolling of beedies and above all in the quality control of the product. As a team they look after the day to day management of the Company. A separate export division caters to the export market. The division has the additional responsibility of manufacture of special beedies meant for export, their packaging & onward transportation.
Transportation is the mainstay of the industry. Bharath Logistics manages the entire cycle from transport of Tendu leaves to the manufacturing destination, till the distribution of Beedies, the finished product.
